Real Logic Announces Guatemalan Joint Venture Wind Turbine Project - MarketWatch

PALM BEACH, Fla., Mar 18, 2008 BUSINESS WIRE — Real Logic, Inc.,  is pleased to announce that the principals of its Wind Turbine subsidiary have just completed an Engineering Conference in Denver, Colorado to discuss and evaluate a proposed project with a private Guatemalan developer. The developer has placed an order to purchase twenty new technology 2.5 MW wind turbines and a Hydrogen production, storage and power generation system, including three 20 MW hydrogen-fueled generators, for a rated capacity up to 110 MW for the project.

The purpose for the series of meetings was to introduce SEMCO, the Danish affiliate of Telectro, which will act as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contractor for the Guatemalan project. SEMCO has agreed to an exclusive ten year engagement for Telectro to operate and maintain the wind farm facility. The meeting specifically allowed SEMCO - Telectro representatives an opportunity to review the new wind turbine technology, engineering, hydrogen systems, and its technical evaluation and economic efficiency.

Michael Posner, President, said, “Recent publicity regarding meetings of three countries, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil, in Buenos Aires, reveals the urgent situation of energy issues in Latin America. This Guatemalan project, nearing $100,000,000, represents a unique opportunity for our Clean Energy Division to have a head start with an existing business relationship in Latin America for our new wind turbine technology systems, just as wind power is striding into international public view as an icon of clean energy that will alleviate shortages of fuel and help stabilize electricity availability and its costs.”
